Code Red Robotics was a finalist in WOOD TV8′s Connecting with Community Award.
We see this as an opportunity to promote FIRST to the general population
Code Red has the following community service events planned for this season:
-First Thursday of every month we’re assisting with the food pantry at Wesley Park United Methodist Church, starting November 3rd.
-Electronics recycling program, bring used electronics (I.E computers, printers, monitors, cellphones, radios, ect.) to our build space.
-Suitcases and duffel bag collection for foster kids.
-Marine Corps Toys for Tots, collecting new toys in November and December.
More to come…
We are based at Grand River Preparatory High School, but we do have room for students from other area high schools. Code Red wants to extend the opportunity to participate in robotics to students in the community. If you’re at a school without a robotics program, consider joining Code Red, Team 2771.
