Our Goals:
- to design, build and compete with innovative robots
- to develop well-rounded students who practice gracious professionalism
- to sustain excellence in engineering and excellence in the community
We started our team from scratch with only a handful of committed students and some willing mentors. With determination, hard work, and help from corporate partners, we are starting to achieve our goals. Code Red works hard at collaboration. We’ve met with local businesses and interviewed CEO’s and engineers. We’ve worked with schools and other FIRST teams. Our partners have donated a nice build space, parts and financial support. Parents and Mentors have brought supplies, guidance and meals. Code Red students continue to meet with local businesses and organizations to spread the word about FIRST Robotics.

Impact On Team Members
We are learning to be leaders who develop our gifts to have a positive impact on the community. We learn how to identify a problem,how to run a meeting, how to set goals, how to listen, how to present ideas and how to find the best possible solution to a problem.
We get to learn technology and teamwork, and accomplish amazing things with FIRST Robotics!

Innovative Methods to Spread FIRST
Code Red spreads the message by actively serving the community. We demonstrate our robot at schools, expos, seminars, libraries and parades. We ask our sponsors what we can do to assist them in their mission.
We also spread the FIRST message by developing well-rounded students who become leaders that can communicate and collaborate as well as solve engineering problems.
Strength of Partnership
We Build Partnerships for Growth
The team strives to build relationships with businesses, engineers, and public and professional organizations to be an asset to FIRST.
We are actively involved with dozens of other FIRST teams.
We are proud to partner with sponsors who share our FIRST values of student development and excellence in many areas, not just on the competition field.
We partner with law enforcement, local universities and school districts.
Communication Method
Face to face team meetings, Facebook, Website, letters to Governor, press releases, pass out fliers, buttons and pens everywhere go. We send updates to our sponsors and to our schools about what Code Red is doing.
We are webcasting every single Michigan FIRST Robotics competition for the second year in a row, now. Our fellow teams have directed their folks to www.coderedrobitcs.com to watch the matches from all over the world!
Other Considerations
We love FIRST and want to use our gifts and abilities to extend the opportunity to as many people as possible. Our team motto is Building Robots to Build Better People and we want to have an impact on the world as we become leaders.
We appreciate the time and effort of all the volunteers to make this possible!
